• WSA is a nomination based award system.

• To apply you need to be nominated by either a WSA National Expert as best national digital solution for the UN SDGs in one of the 8 categories.

• Each country can only nominate one project/solution per category. Nominations to the international WSA are possible through national contests and national expert panel selection.

• Through this high level selectory system, please be aware that every country has their own deadlines for the call. The generally communicated WSA deadline is the timeframe of the global call, and communicates the last possible date of a nomination by the national expert panel.

• To apply for WSA you have to provide detailed information on your product in the WSA Database.

• Please find here some guidelines on how you should provide this information in order to make the application easier to evaluate and process and hence promote your project the best.

• Once you have read the guidelines to make the application, you can find here a manual to use the database.

To apply, you need to register on this website and fill out the application for the National Round until June 30th, 2025.

The application consists of 17 mandatory questions, but don’t worry:

• 2 are simple yes/no questions,
• 1 is a multiple-choice selection,
• 3 require answers under 200 characters.

That means you’re really answering just 11 full questions, and completing the form should take between 30 to 90 minutes.

Your responses will help WSA National Experts assess your solution's relevance and impact. Based on this information, they will decide whether to nominate you for the WSA Global Contest.

WSA welcomes digitial solutions that

1) Create positive impact (and can provide measurable impact numbers),

2) Are fully launched and operational,

3) Were launched in 2022 or later.

When applying, you’ll select one of eight award categories. You can find detailed explanations of each category on website.
